Our pigs of course are one of our main sources of produce, and are our most work-intensive animals. They need daily feeding, cleaning and health checks, and to make sure their facilities like water, housing and bedding are in good order.
They are fun to watch and interact with, being social creatures, with a wide range of personalities and activities. Most are as smart as a dog, and are very stubborn if it suits them.
Their Lifestyle
Our pigs live freely, with access to shelter they can use whenever they choose. They roam, rest, and interact naturally, expressing their instincts and personalities. We do not practice castration, tail docking, nose ringing, or any other invasive procedures.
Births happen naturally—either in spacious outdoor birthing pens with shelter or wherever the animal feels most comfortable.
We embrace the joy and occasional challenge of letting our pigs be themselves. Digging, swimming, playing, nesting, and forming social groups are all part of their daily lives, unless a behaviour poses a risk to their safety.
